Saint Patrick had a vision of the future.

Patrick prayed for the people of Ireland. he asked God to scatter the demons. he saw a vision of the future. "Ireland was strong in the Lord for 100's of years, then little by little the glory faded away until it was only in the remote valleys." Patrick prayed that the light would never go out. He saw the light grow in brightness. "once more the hills and valleys of Ireland were lit up. " And angel announced to Patrick: "Such shall be the abiding splendor of divine truth in Ireland."
